The Queue

The Queue opens Lynx cabinets, drawer units, and remote locks and can request additional information about a transaction as it is being performed, such as lot-tracking and witnessing-user information.

About the Queue

Once a dispense has been queued (i.e., you have selected a patient and added the items to be given), the dispensing process is completed from the Queue.

To access the Queue, select QUEUE from the top navigation bar.

Transaction Types

All Dispense, Restock, Return, Transfer, and Waste transactions are completed from the Queue, as these transactions require access to a Storage Area to add or remove inventory.

Selecting a Transaction

When queuing a transaction, you are often presented with a Queue link that takes you directly to the Queue with the transaction already selected.

Clicking the Transaction Type

In the Queue, if the transaction you want to complete is not selected automatically, click the transaction Type in the left column to select it.

Filtering the Queue

If you do not see the transaction you want listed, you can easily modify which transactions are displayed using one or more of the filters under Patient, Date of Service, Transaction Type, and Other.

Verifying the Information Displayed

When a Dispense transaction is selected, information from the Lynx patient record is displayed in the patient header and can be used for verification purposes.

DOS, Supervising Phys, and Clinical Trial

Confirm the Date of Service and Supervising Physician selections are appropriate and whether the treatment is part of a Clinical Trial.

Selecting Items

Use the checkboxes in the Dispense column to choose which items to dispense.

Unchecking an item leaves it in the Queue until it is either dispensed or deleted from the Queue.
