Returning a Dispense

There are many possible reasons for returning a dispense. Here are a few examples:

• The ordered dose changed.

• The patient had a reaction, and the entire ordered dose was not given.

• The drug was dispensed, but the patient was not treated.

• You need to dispense a different NDC instead.
