Barcode Scanning Overview
Due to FDA regulation changes regarding product identifiers under the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA), drug manufacturers are beginning to include additional information in the barcodes on their drug packaging.
Lynx features allow users to scan a barcode on an inventory item to capture the lot and expiration information and/or to verify that the NDC in hand is the NDC that was queued.
